Prayer is vital to our life as a church, it’s at the heart of all that we do.  It’s the main way in which we express our dependence on God, seek His guidance, and ask for His blessing on all that we do in His name.  Prayer is prominent in our services and is an important part of all our small groups.

We are committed as a church to ‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.‘ 1 Thess 5:16-18

Each week we have a variety of different opportunities for prayer. At these times we gather together to read the Bible, pray for our church, our local community and the wider world.

1st Wednesday Prayer Meeting
On the first Wednesday of each month we meet to pray at St Mary’s Church between 8 – 9.00 pm. Occassionally we may meet earlier for a time of extended sung worship – watch the weekly email for details.

“Pray in the Spirit, on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests…” Ephesians 6:18

We believe God’s plan is for our prayer to be full of life; here you’ll find some useful resources, all are designed to help equip & inspire. It can be helpful to experiment with different forms of prayer – create a new rhythm – and see what God does in and through you!
